The Position

Job Description and Responsibilities

Want your first sales job to make a difference? 🌱

Every day, fashion and home furnishings brands must demonstrate the true environmental impact of their products: environmental labeling, regulated claims, digital product passports, and more. They need reliable tools, and often they don’t yet know that Waro exists.

Your role: to reach out to them—in France, Europe, and the U.S.—and secure initial meetings that will lead to our next clients.

Waro at a Glance

Waro is a SaaS platform that helps brands measure, reduce, and communicate the environmental impact of their products: life cycle assessment (LCA), eco-design, environmental labeling, and decarbonization pathways. We specialize in textiles and home furnishings.

Our mission: to provide greater transparency regarding the impact of everyday products.

  • Founded in 2021, based in Paris's 11th arrondissement
  • 45 active client brands, including Celio, Jules, Volcolm, Anine Bing, Bureau Vallée, and Camif.
  • 15 people, average age 27, 4 teams (Tech & Product, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing) working together using OKRs

What matters to us: transparency (feedback, regular Q&A sessions with the co-founders, sharing both successes and failures), commitment, trust, and autonomy (we set challenges for ourselves rather than to-do lists), and the strength of the team.

Your Responsibilities

You'll join the Sales team and serve as the first point of contact for our future clients. With support from an Account Executive, you'll quickly become independent in your role.

1. Prospect in France, Europe, and the U.S.

  • Identify target brands (fashion, textiles, home furnishings) and the appropriate contacts: CSR, product, and procurement departments; executive management
  • Build and expand lists of qualified accounts and contacts
  • Tailor your message to each prospect's country, industry, and regulatory environment
  • Convert marketing leads into appointments
  • Inviting prospects to our various events (webinars, meetings, trade shows): one of our best sources for appointments!

2. Launch and manage multichannel sequences

  • Design and send email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach campaigns
  • Test different approaches, measure what works (open rates, response rates, appointment rates), and iterate
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on messaging, content, and events

3. Qualify leads and secure initial appointments

  • Conduct initial discussions with brands
  • Assess opportunities (needs, timing, budget, decision-makers)
  • Attend the first meetings with Guillaume and Michel
  • Schedule your first introductory meetings as soon as you feel comfortable

4. Keep a pipe clean and in good working order

  • Track all your activity in the CRM (HubSpot) (contacts, activities, stages, notes)
  • Track your KPIs and share what you've learned with the team: common objections, competitors, market signals
  • Help improve our lead generation processes

Our tech stack

  • Target Identification: LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • CRM: HubSpot
  • Email enrichment and sequences: lemlist
  • Call Recording: Modjo

Your Goals

Your time is divided equally among:

  • 50% in France, for our priority accounts (major fashion and home furnishings brands)
  • 50% internationally (Europe and the U.S.), from our priority accounts (major fashion and home furnishings brands)

Your metrics, once you've completed your skill development:

  • Number of appointments scheduled
  • Revenue generated from your appointments: quality matters just as much as quantity
  • About 200 to 300 prospecting activities per week (emails, calls, LinkedIn)

Desired Qualifications

Essential

  • Business school, engineering school, or university student (Bac+4 / Bac+5) looking for a paid internship
  • Flawless French, both spoken and written
  • You have a fluent working knowledge of English and are comfortable calling and writing to international prospects
  • A knack for interpersonal interaction and speaking with others: you're not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Discipline and organization, especially when it comes to keeping track of your pipeline
  • Resilience: A “no” doesn’t discourage you—it teaches you something. It’s not always easy to take, but we’ll be there to support you!

Big plus

  • Another European language (German, Italian, Spanish)
  • Some experience in lead generation, sales, or business development, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • An interest in CSR, eco-design, fashion, or furniture
  • An introduction to CRM or lead generation tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing tools)

What We Offer You in Return

  • A meaningful role with a direct and measurable impact on Waro's growth
  • Comprehensive training in B2B sales development and CSR, eco-design, and product regulations
  • Rapid advancement to higher-level responsibilities based on your aspirations and performance
  • Regular team meetings and internal events
  • An incubator with more than 100 startups, a ping-pong table, and a gym
  • €1,100 gross per month

Interview Process

  1. A 15-minute call to make sure our expectations are aligned
  2. A 1-hour fitness session with Michel and Guillaume
  3. A role-playing exercise (about 1 hour): draft a prospecting email and make a live call with feedback (40 minutes), followed by a discussion with other Waro employees

We're committed to giving you feedback at every step.

Send us your resume and a few lines about what motivates you at Waro. Bonus points if you tell us how you would have reached out to us 😉
